St. Petersburg is a millenial’s paradise. It has a vibrant community of artists, skateboarders, surfers, and young entrepreneurs and professionals, making it (arguably) the hippest neighborhood in Florida. If you were to ask me, I’d like to live there too. It has everything I’m looking for in a place–the beach is just a stone’s throw away and there are plenty of museums, galleries, gyms, quaint novelty shops, and cafes to explore. But perhaps the first thing that comes to mind when talking about St. Pete is the street art.
You will know when you’re in St. Pete when you see walls filled with eye-popping graffiti painted by artists from all over the US. My hubby and I went for a drive to check out these incredible works of art scattered throughout the downtown area.
When we got there, we realized two hours isn’t enough to check out all the murals. Everything’s so beautiful, I’m surprised people are not going crazy over them. If these were in Manila, you’ll always spot a blogger or a curious passerby taking photos of them.

I gotta say my favorite is this Twiggy mural by Chad Mize. I love how he captured her eyes and painted them over transparent paint. Unfortunately, we only got to see a number of murals on 1st Avenue and Central Avenue, so I guess I’ll leave the rest for another blog post? For now, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves and let you enjoy these amazing wall graffiti!
If you wish to explore all of St. Pete’s street art, there’s a group who conducts guided walking tours for enthusiasts. Let me know how it goes! 🙂
