Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2014 Trend Report

I’m not supposed to post anything fashion-related until next week since I feel it’s inappropriate given the current situation in central Philippines, but I saw this really beautiful hairstyle Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes shared on Instagram and I had this sudden urge to post it on my blog. I have a really faulty memory so consider this as an online reminder that I should do my own version of Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2014 hair, which Jane dubbed ‘the wood nymph hair’.

Isn’t it divine? I think it’s pretty easy to do since it doesn’t need much flowers; the only problem is I don’t know where to find faux Grecian coins. Here’s another version from D&G:

Floral crowns were all the rage last year, and I’m glad that it’s making a comeback this coming S/S, with a twist.

While I was doing my research, I decided to check out D&G’s website for their Spring 2014 collection. I missed doing it. If you’ve been following my posts since 2010, you’d remember that I used to post sort of like a runway report. I kinda missed doing that so I took a screenshot of the collection from D&G’s website. I may have shopped less than I used to but it doesn’t mean I do not appreciate designer brands anymore. And who can’t appreciate these?

I must say I’m surprised that many of the pieces are actually very wearable. The pieces have this Greco-Roman vibe going on and I love it, reminded me so much of my favorite mythologies.

And the best part is D&G showcased different pieces for various occasions. Some of the floral dresses are perfect for weddings, some for work, the beach, dinner, and even a funeral—which is great, don’t you think? Women don’t have many options during funerals, not that it should be a fashion show.

I see lots of gold and lace as well. Time to stock some “little gold dress”.

And pointed black kitten heels. Here’s more:

First of all, people will unsderstand your purpose of posting this so don’t worry. 😉 I love the black designs (second to the last photo) thought I am not a fan of stuff you put on head/hair, especially flowery things, just because I am afraid it won’t look good on mine. Tee-hee!

    Hi Daphne,

Love the look of your blog. I saw you post on the Highwind themes forum about putting widgets side-by-side on your sidebar.

I am also switching to Highwind theme, and I am not able to figure it out. Could you please help me out with the code you used?
