Chad gave me this really cute camera early this year. He takes great pictures and we agreed that he’d teach me photography when he comes back to the country this summer, and we’ll start with this Diana Mini. I’m quite excited of the new things I’ll learn and do this year. And you’ll definitely be the first ones to know what they are. I’ve just begun drawing again—it used to be my pastime when I was younger, but, well, I had to prioritize other things later on. It feels great actually, doing the things I used to love as a child. You know what, I might actually start buying canvases again and do a bit of—er—painting. I’m not good though, but I’ve always believed that there’s no craft that can’t be learned.

If you like my OOTD, hype this look on lookbook and chictopia 🙂

Florals + Stripes = Happiness

Hiiii! 😀

Spamming your screen with lots of florals and stripes. The top is actually a crop top. Bought this somewhere outside Divisoria Mall. I couldn’t resist the cuteness of the heart patch so I bought it. Who would like to guess how much this costs? 😛

Boater hat and lace bag from Cocco

The maxi skirt is actually a maxi dress. I wanted a different top so I just folded it inward and fastened it with a handwoven belt to hold the dress and make it look like a real maxi skirt. Cool huh? 🙂

I was trying to make my hair look messy here. FAIL. :-/

Hype this look on lookbook and chictopia! ::)

See the rings? I’m selling rings like those in my online shop. Like Zeros and Fives on Facebook to view cutie patootie accessories on sale. 🙂

Thanks to Haydee Suarez for editing the last two photos!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the love and support before I am denied the chance. Recent events made me realize how precious life is, and how short it is to waste it on hatred and regret. I may have not gotten everything I wanted , wished, and prayed to God every night, little blessings still manage to find me and I am grateful for that. But somehow it also makes me sad not having to properly recognize those kind people who, in their own ways, lent their hands when I needed one. I hope I’m not too late. Thank you. 🙂

I’m planning on a new blog giveaway so stay tuned. Follow me on Twitter for the announcement!

Peace x Love

Summer Girl

I just had the most stressful day of my life. Three days from now is the book launching of the hardest manuscript I ever handled, and we were only able to transmit the proofs for printing today. Oh, the joys of being an editor!

I’m a little relieved though that the printing office will start working on it as as early as tonight. I’m crossing my fingers that everything will work out fine. Maybe it’s time to avail that massage in New Manila, yes?

I’m glad the sky stopped pouring its heart out. Aside from my workload, this past week’s weather was so gloomy and irritating. Who wouldn’t feel that way when you’re living on the fourth floor but the flat is  flooded! Amazy crazy! Besides, I only like the rain when I’m about to sleep. 🙂 I’m a summer girl, you know. I’ve always loved the sun and the trends for that season, like there’s always a reason to smile and be happy, hence the photo below:

I’ll end this post by a song performed by my favorite actress, Leighton Meester. As I’ve said, ’cause I’m just a summer girl. 🙂

Last Days of Summer

Rain has started pouring since last week, and I still haven’t even given you guys my take on color blocking and wearing tangerine. Bold colors aren’t really my thing, but for trend’s sake I dared. Did I pull them off? You be the judge.

Here is the first look:

Tangerine dress sponsored by Cocco; accessories sponsored by Quirky Finds

You can find Cocco stores in five key places in Metro Manila: SM North EDSA, TriNoma (Landmark), Cybermall at Eastwood City, Robinson’s Metroeast, and Robinson’s Place in Manila. It’s an store where you can find all your shopping needs–dresses, shoes, accessories, even lingerie.

Cocco items also pair adorably with Quirky Finds items. Quirky Finds is an online shop who sells girly and quirky customized accessories, hence the name. So if you are a sucker for bows and ribbons, buy at Quirky Finds.

I used to love anything orange-y when I was a teen. But I fell so in love with the sun while I was growing, so my complexion became darker and I could never pull off anything bright and bold. Thankfully though, my skin lightened up, I had less fear wearing this garment.

Cocco Maxi + Florals

I’ve always been conscious of my height. Who wouldn’t when you always have to use a chair to reach anything beyond five inches in height? Hurhur :3 For that, I seldom dare wearing dresses and skirts that are below the knees. It’s a big no-no for short (ehem) cute girls like me. Hohoho. I don’t have slim legs either, which make matters worse. I envy those short girls who can pull off maxi dresses without looking like an elf.

Last week, however, I thought, heck, why not try donning one first? Fortunately, House of Cocco has this really sweet maxi floral dress. Exactly what I had in mind!

I must say I was pretty surprised when the photos came out. I don’t look short! Yay! I dunno if it’s because of the length or the wedges. Either way, I’m happy of the result.

Uhh, too happy actually. I remember my friend calling me Gummybears because my gums show when I smile too much. ‘Funny friend he is.

This awesome dress is sponsored by House of Cocco. (YES! I HAVE A SPONSOR NOW. YIPEE!) They have really pretty dresses, I often turn to Cocco when I have events to attend to. You can see photos here and here. Cocco, as I call it, offers lots of items–from dresses, accessories, shoes, to lingerie. It’s like a one-stop shop. Now isn’t that great? Visit their site to know where you can find their stores.

Ah, summer is almost over. 🙁
