It’s officially summer–my favorite season of the year! It’s when we girls get to experiment with our look. We can finally get that bob haircut we’ve always wanted and change up our hair color. (*happy dance*) L’Oreal and I would like to help you in that department so we’re giving away one set of L’Oreal Paris Excellence Fashion hair color to three lucky ladies!
Each set contains three different shades so you can choose which one suits you best. Simply read the pamphlet inside the boxes for instructions on how to DIY your hair. I did the #ExcellenceFashion challenge a few months ago and I must say coloring your own hair is not that difficult–not to mention it’s money-saving as well. Here’s what I chose:
As for the mechanics, please complete the following. All are required.
Last week I attended L’Oreal Paris PH’s fashion show featuring Albert Andrada and Ezra Santos—one of the first shows during the Philippine Fashion Week—which I blogged about here.
Since becoming a blogger in 2010, attending Philippine Fashion Week became one of my goals. Getting invites was not that easy though, at least initially, because they cannot be bought nor requested. The PFW team/agencies choose who to attend. Last year I got to see Oxygen, GUESS, and VANS‘ Spring-Summer 2012 collections, thanks to Connect Agencie.
Last week I was supposed to attend three shows, but due to illness and bad weather I had to cancel the two others, featuring Dax Bayani and Vania Romoff’s respective collections. At least I got to attend to one though.
I think I’ll never overcome my love for mullet skirts. There’s something about it that makes any wearer look sexy but classy at the same time. And they are quite comfortable, mind you. I feel like I’m one of those girls in a feminine wash commercial. Lol. I think I would still be wearing my mullets even when they go out of style.
Everyone at the office and on Facebook loved my new hair cut by the way, which makes me even happier 🙂 I had worn my hair long for a lengthy amount of time, so it’s refreshing to sport a shorter hairdo. I tried copying Sarah Barthel’s hair style. If you don’t know her, you should check out this music video by Phantogram.
I was invited by L’Oreal Philippines to attend their fashion show featuring Albert Andrada and Ezra Santos. It was quite timely as I just had my hair fixed. My initial peg was Kimbra but I wanted to be bolder this time so I opted for a Sara Barthel-esque hair cut. You should definitely check her band Phantogram out! Aside from their good sound, Sara Barthel is extremely gorgeous!
Anyway, on to the show..
People taking their seats. The whole placed was packed with fashion editors, media personalities, socialites, and fashion enthusiasts like me.
The first designer to take the stage was Albert Andrada. His collection showed different designs using pastel colors and chiffon and lace textiles.
His dresses have really flattering silhouettes. I especially loved this dress modeled by Charo Ronquillo, a Filipino model who is now taking New York by storm. Look at those details at the back of the dress! So lovely 🙂
The next person to showcase his work is Ezra Santos—a very influential designer in Middle East. In contrast to Andrada’s collection, Santos’ work was more structured.
According to reports, his collection was inspired by Barcelona’s sunset, which explains why most of the pieces were in gold, but was intensified by the dramatic details and sculptural shoulders and collars.
Ezra Santos’ collection finale. This wowed everyone.
Below is a video of the final walk for both designers. Hmm, the vid was clearer while I was editing it, I wonder why it turned out like this. Oh well, no biggie. Philippine Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2013 is almost over. I hope you got to see at least one show!
Let us continue to promote Filipino vision and artistry! Thank you for the opportunity L’Oreal! 🙂
