I do not share much about my day-to-day life on social media. While I do share posts that make me laugh, sad, and inspired and occasional strikes of vanity, only a few loved ones know what’s going on with me. There are many things though I keep to myself only. I’m a bit of a loner, and always been like that–there’s a sense of satisfaction one can find in solitude. I am free to do whatever I please, without outside pressure and learn from the consequences of it. Having this frame of mind and the challenges I experienced as a child, prepared me mentally and emotionally for that place I call ‘the real world’, that world beyond the reach of anyone or anything that would discourage me from pushing forward and pushing beyond my limits.

A lot of things have happened since my last personal post. I’m still having backaches every once in a while. My doctor has advised me to not put too much pressure on my spine, hence I’m not allowed to carry heavy loads and wear high-heeled shoes often. Unfortunately my condition is irreversible. I’m not sure how this will affect my future travels, but I am doing everything I can for this not to worsen so I’m keeping my hopes up. Also, I found a new job in a new city. Right now I am still adjusting and learning the ropes, but I do have a good feeling that everything will be smooth-sailing. New workmates are amazing and full of positive energy, which I really like. I love being with funny co-workers because they make the job less tedious. I’m honestly very thankful to God for blessing me with wonderful jobs for the past three years, so much so that I no longer dread the word ‘Monday’. 🙂
And like any other office, air conditioning can be very brutal so I am yet again stocking up on some comfy knits and sweaters. Rainy season has begun as well. I know this look is not exactly a rainy season color–I kinda feel guilty for not sharing any outfit the past summer so I hope this suffices, along with my next posts. Plus, I’m having a hard time transitioning from happy summer hues to dark, gloomy shades. Cold weather is nice but I absolutely hate getting wet and bringing an umbrella!
Also, school break will be over soon and in a few weeks I’ll be my usual cranky self, but I won’t be abandoning this blog. I may be posting less often but that’s only because I’m ashamed to show you my eyebag-laden face only my boyfriend can love. Lol. Kidding aside, this semester will be pretty hectic as I’m expecting more reading assignments and reports but I will make sure to post one look a week. If this doesn’t happen, feel free to call me out on Twitter or Instagram.
By the way, thank you to my friend JoeAnn for taking my pictures! It’s her first time to use my camera and take pictures for my blog and I must say she did an awesome job. 🙂
Hype this look on
I’m not supposed to post anything fashion-related until next week since I feel it’s inappropriate given the current situation in central Philippines, but I saw this really beautiful hairstyle Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes shared on Instagram and I had this sudden urge to post it on my blog. I have a really faulty memory so consider this as an online reminder that I should do my own version of Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2014 hair, which Jane dubbed ‘the wood nymph hair’.
Isn’t it divine? I think it’s pretty easy to do since it doesn’t need much flowers; the only problem is I don’t know where to find faux Grecian coins. Here’s another version from D&G:
Floral crowns were all the rage last year, and I’m glad that it’s making a comeback this coming S/S, with a twist.
While I was doing my research, I decided to check out D&G’s website for their Spring 2014 collection. I missed doing it. If you’ve been following my posts since 2010, you’d remember that I used to post sort of like a runway report. I kinda missed doing that so I took a screenshot of the collection from D&G’s website. I may have shopped less than I used to but it doesn’t mean I do not appreciate designer brands anymore. And who can’t appreciate these?
I must say I’m surprised that many of the pieces are actually very wearable. The pieces have this Greco-Roman vibe going on and I love it, reminded me so much of my favorite mythologies.
And the best part is D&G showcased different pieces for various occasions. Some of the floral dresses are perfect for weddings, some for work, the beach, dinner, and even a funeral—which is great, don’t you think? Women don’t have many options during funerals, not that it should be a fashion show.
I see lots of gold and lace as well. Time to stock some “little gold dress”.
And pointed black kitten heels. Here’s more:
Spamming your screen with lots of florals and stripes. The top is actually a crop top. Bought this somewhere outside Divisoria Mall. I couldn’t resist the cuteness of the heart patch so I bought it. Who would like to guess how much this costs? 😛
Boater hat and lace bag from Cocco
The maxi skirt is actually a maxi dress. I wanted a different top so I just folded it inward and fastened it with a handwoven belt to hold the dress and make it look like a real maxi skirt. Cool huh? 🙂
I was trying to make my hair look messy here. FAIL. :-/
Hype this look on lookbook and chictopia! ::)
Clogs-like heels from Tiffany
See the rings? I’m selling rings like those in my online shop. Like Zeros and Fives on Facebook to view cutie patootie accessories on sale. 🙂

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the love and support before I am denied the chance. Recent events made me realize how precious life is, and how short it is to waste it on hatred and regret. I may have not gotten everything I wanted , wished, and prayed to God every night, little blessings still manage to find me and I am grateful for that. But somehow it also makes me sad not having to properly recognize those kind people who, in their own ways, lent their hands when I needed one. I hope I’m not too late. Thank you. 🙂
I’m planning on a new blog giveaway so stay tuned. Follow me on Twitter for the announcement!
Peace x Love
