This has been the busiest December of my entire life. I have so many tasks to accomplish before Christmas eve and I’m not even halfway done. Life has been throwing me curve ball after curve ball lately and I haven’t even had the time to breathe and take it all in. So one day, when my hubby and I finally had an opportunity to relax, we decided to visit the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida last Monday. I wasn’t interested at first because I thought the place looked like a circus (literally) since it was named after The Ringling Bros., who were owners of one of America’s largest circuses. I was wrong, of course.
Lately I’ve been wondering how people perceive me. I know many of you will say that other people’s opinion of you should not matter, but for someone who doesn’t know her own personality very well–it is a big deal. When we were still dating, Chad used to say that the reason he was drawn to me was because I was so mysterious. Even today, he still can’t quite figure me out. Of course, he knows my little quirks but he can’t seem to box me in one character. I’m so unpredictable, he would always say.
Nothing makes me more excited than getting stuff in the mail. It’s been a crazy, roller coaster month, but receiving the Bite Beauty #TheMatteCremeLip VoxBox from Influenster made it all bearable. Now I have new makeup to add to my stash and a new review to share to all of you! Like my Armani Beauty eye tints and Eccentrico mascara, these Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayons were sent to me complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.
This is not a typical travel post, but since many people are asking me about my US visa application experience, I’ve decided to finally share it. Because each stage in the K1 Fiancee Visa application is very critical, I will be posting a series of detailed guides to give you an idea of what to expect. To be quite honest, I have been toying with the idea of making a guide for months, but I wasn’t sure if I’m comfortable sharing this stage in my life. Only loved ones and cIose friends at the time knew that Chad and I are applying for a visa. It was an extremely nerve-wracking experience for us, due to the fact that it will ultimately dictate our future together.
About 2 years ago, I shared that Chad and I got engaged, and a year after that we decided to begin the I129F, Petition for Alien Fiancee–also called the Fiancee Visa (K1)–application process, so we can finally get married and start our lives together.
St. Petersburg is a millenial’s paradise. It has a vibrant community of artists, skateboarders, surfers, and young entrepreneurs and professionals, making it (arguably) the hippest neighborhood in Florida. If you were to ask me, I’d like to live there too. It has everything I’m looking for in a place–the beach is just a stone’s throw away and there are plenty of museums, galleries, gyms, quaint novelty shops, and cafes to explore. But perhaps the first thing that comes to mind when talking about St. Pete is the street art.
